Ljubljana, 24 February 2010 - 47 football fields, 125 freight train wagons, or 5 Olympic swimming pools represent 100,000,000 produced 95-gram cans of Argeta in the year 2009.
In 2009, Droga Kolinska registered a total 12 percent market growth, with the Argeta brand name, in comparison to the year 2008. An optimistic growth is also foreseen for the year 2010:
‘Argeta is one of the leading brand names in our portfolio, right beside Cockta, Barcaffe coffee, Donat Mg, Smoki, and some others. In the year 2007, we decided on a focus strategy. This means concentrating on our key brand names. In this way, we have built Argeta into an even stronger brand name, and we predict a 10 percent sales growth for it in the year 2010. We will achieve this mainly through growth on the existing markets and with expansion onto new western markets. This year we plan to renew the packaging, further strengthen our presence in sales outlets, and introduce another new flavour. Our main business objective is to increase the recognition of Argeta on those markets where necessary, and to further consolidate its position as the most popular and tasty spread among its consumers.’ Plans of Droga Kolinska revealed by Enzo Smrekar a member of the Droga Kolinska Board of Directors.

Argeta helps the young
In 2009, the Argeta brand name activities were strongly focused on socially responsible activities, with which Droga Kolinska wanted to help, above all, our youngsters. Thus in Slovenia, Argeta gifted 10,000 primary schoolchildren on their first day of school with an Argeta Packet (timetable, folder, and notebook). Argeta also supports an Argeta class, where it provides scholarships for about 30 pupils (boys and girls) from the Slovenian coastal region. In Serbia, children playgrounds were arranged under the Argeta brand name. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, Argeta gifted children in kindergartens, and in Kosovo, Droga Kolinska on behalf of Argeta donated 10% of the sales value, of each Argeta Junior paté sold, to the SOS Kinderdorf organisation.
