A delicious bread pizza is a great way to transform stale and forgotten bread into a tempting treat that’s perfect for evening get-togethers.

To bring stale bread back to life, simply cut it and sprinkle it with milk, then top it like a pizza with anything you can get your hands on. This is why this pizza is best made when you want to clear your fridge.For this version of pizza, we will stick with the classics – tomatoes, mozzarella, basil and cooked prosciutto.

Ingredients:
Stale bread
Milk
Cherry tomatoes
Cooked prosciutto
Mozzarella cheese
Basil
Parmesan cheese
Olive oil

Preparation:

1. Heat the oven to 200 °C.
2. Cut the bread into even slices.
3. Sprinkle each slice with milk. Adjust the amount of milk depending on how old and dry the bread is. If you overdo it, the bread will not be crispy, but soggy and sad.
4. Pour two tablespoons of olive oil on a baking tray and spread it around.

  1. Arrange the slices of bread on the baking tray so that they are touching. This will serve as the base of the pizza.
  2. Halve the cherry tomatoes and crush them.
  3. Spread the crushed tomatoes over the slices of bread.
  4. Tear the prosciutto and arrange it over the tomatoes.

  1. Time for the mozzarella – tear it into pieces and spread it over the pizza.
  2. Grate parmesan over the entire tray and sprinkle with torn basil leaves.
  3. The bread pizza takes 20 minutes to bake.

The great thing about this pizza is you don’t have to cut it. Simply tear off a piece of bread with toppings that has been brough back to life in the most delicious way!
