Chickpea flour bread

Share

Rich in protein and fibre, chickpea flour is an excellent substitute for regular flour. This makes it a very popular choice for people who want to reduce the amount of carbohydrates in their diet. The nutty flavour and unique structure of chickpea flour add a pleasant complexity to the bread, which will also make you feel fuller.

And there’s another advantage to chickpea flour bread: You can spread your favourite Argeta on a slice or two more completely guilt-free, as chickpea flour bread contains less calories.

Ingredients:

300 g chickpea flour
360 ml carbonated mineral water
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda

You will need a 22 cm bread baking tin.

Preparation:

1. Preheat the oven to 190°C.

2. Place all the dry ingredients into a bowl – chickpea flour, sugar, salt and baking soda.

3. Mix them, then add vegetable oil and apple cider vinegar.

4. Finish by slowly and carefully adding the mineral water.

5. Mix the dry ingredients with the wet ones to produce a liquid mixture.

6. Place a sheet of parchment paper into the bread baking tin, and pour the chickpea flour bread mixture in.

7. Put the tin in the heated oven for 35–40 minutes.

8. Check if the bread is done by pricking it with a toothpick, which has to come out clean.

9. Leave the chickpea flour bread in the tin until cool, then put it onto a bread board and slice it.
