Argeta Exclusive Academy has been growing and developing for the third consecutive year, while continuing to spread knowledge of the culinary arts to young, talented gastronomy students. Young cooking apprentices are getting the opportunity to work alongside and learn from famous chefs like chef Janez Bratovž from Restaurant JB, chef Teo Fernetich from Restaurant San Rocco, chef David Vračko from Restaurant Mak, chef Nina Čarman from Gostilna & Vinoteka Danilo, and chef Luka Košir from Gostišče Grič.

Who wouldn’t want to learn from the best Slovenian and Croatian chefs, who in the past have also left their mark in the world of Argeta Exclusive with their exceptional culinary creations? Each year, this priceless life experience is awarded to the two best gastronomy students from Croatia and Slovenia, who are nominated by professors from selected culinary schools. The Slovenian candidate is selected at the Biotechnical Education Centre Ljubljana, while the Croatian candidate is selected at ASPIRA University.

This year, the candidates who are getting this great opportunity are Jure Cesar and Karlo Gabrovac

In the first season of the Argeta Exclusive Academy in 2020, we watched young talents Jaka Martinčič and Ana Mucić; in 2021, Anže Bilban and Ines Jurišić dipped their toes in the waters of haute cuisine, and this year, Jure Cesar and Karlo Gabrovac will get to test their mettle in the kitchens of our selected top chefs. They will be performing a one-month internship in various kitchens of Slovenian and Croatian chefs, where they will have the opportunity to learn first-hand about the philosophy of their mentors, learn many new techniques that will allow them to prepare dishes in different ways, and get an excellent insight into how top-level cuisine is changing, and how awareness of quality local ingredients is growing.

At Argeta, we know full well that life is what we make of it, which is why we give young chefs in Slovenia and Croatia the opportunity to learn from the best in order to create top-quality dishes. By connecting young people with chefs who can share with them their rich experience and knowledge, Argeta takes part of the responsibility for the development of Slovenian and regional cuisine.
