Ingredients

  • Flour250 g
  • Baking powder1 sachet
  • Salt1/2 tsp
  • Pepper1 pinch
  • Sugar1 tsp
  • Butter at room temperature60 g
  • Eggs2
  • Milk140 ml
  • Grated cheese of your choice (e.g. cheddar)120 g
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese2 tbsp

Procedure

Preparation for baking:

  1. Heat the oven to 180°C.

  2. Place parchment paper in the baking tin to cover the base and all the sides.

Mixture:

  1. Beat both eggs in one bowl and add the milk, softened butter and sugar.

  1. Mix well with a whisk.

  2. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, pepper and salt.

  1. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well with a spatula.

  2. Add both types of cheese to the mixture and mix again thoroughly.

Baking:

  1. Place the mixture into the prepared baking tin and level it.

  2. Bake the cheese bread for 50 minutes at 180ºC.

  3. After baking, transfer the bread from the tin to a wire rack to cool.
