As each Argeta pâté must be excellent, production is carried out under strict supervision, all the way from the first raw material to the last fold of the packaging.

Quality control

First, our top experts carefully check the quality of the raw materials and packaging before then supervising the whole production process until the sealing and sterilisation of pâtés with the help of modern control instruments and laboratory research. Before the product is stocked on the shelves, final evaluations are carried out during a 10-day quarantine period.

Heat treatment

Sterility and long-term freshness are achieved through heat treatment. Heat treatment is a completely safe technological process, which is the result of years of research and experience, and ensures that all our products are free from preservatives.

ISO 9001:2000 standard

The ISO 9001:2000 standard specifies the requirements for a high quality organisation management system. The standard is based on eight quality management principles, which include the requirements of the business excellence model. These include:

  • customer focus;
  • leadership;
  • involvement of employees;
  • a process approach;
  • a system approach;
  • continual improvement;
  • a factual approach to decision making;
  • mutually beneficial supplier relationships.
ISO 14001 standard

The ISO 14001 standard is a guarantee of an effective environmental management system that can be integrated with other management systems. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking their environmental responsibilities. Elements of the system are divided into five main categories:

  • management review;
  • checking and corrective action;
  • implementation and operation;
  • planning;
  • policy.

HACCP is a systematic preventive approach to food safety. It enables the identification, assessment, intervention and control of potential risk factors in foods which could represent a threat to human health. HACCP requires the proper implementation of accompanying hygiene procedures.


The Halal certificate is issued by the Muslim community for foods and other products made in accordance with the rules of Islam. Both our factories are Halal certified, and manufacture our products in accordance with the Halal certificate.


The Marine Stewardship Council certificate (MSC) confirms that the fish in our ‘Argeta Thunfisch Aufstricht MSC' have been caught in accordance with the principles of sustainable fishing. The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) is an independent non-profit organization which sets a standard for sustainable fishing.

FSSC 22000

The FSSC 22000 standard is a global standard with the highest food safety and traceability requirements. It is also the best guarantee for customer satisfaction because products with this certification meet customer requirements with regard to quality, safety and conformity to regulations.

Certification according to the requirements of the FSSC 22000 was granted by the Global Food Safety Initiative (the GFSI: a non-profit organisation bringing together food manufacturers and food retailers). With the rapid growth in the number of certified organisations throughout the world, the FSSC 22000 is now a robust ISO-based independent food safety evaluation and certification scheme covering the entire supply chain. This certificate serves as reliable proof that a company meets the highest food safety requirements.
